Freedom Village at Brandywine Hosts Scholarship Award Ceremony

COATESVILLE, PA — Freedom Village at Brandywine last week named its 2021 Freedom Village Brandywine Scholarship recipients at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in its Greg Welch Auditorium. The wholly resident-owned and run scholarship fund is for employees at Freedom Village at Brandywine for scholarship assistance to pursue their educational goals.

The Freedom Village at Brandywine Scholarship Fund, Inc., was established in 2006 as a charitable corporation, with the sole purpose of providing scholarship assistance to employees at Freedom Village as they pursue their educational goals. The fund is wholly owned and run by the residents of the continuing care community and is governed by a board of resident directors. To date, the fund has given 135 scholarships, totaling approximately $400,000 to employees residing in the Coatesville, Honey Brook, Downingtown, Parkesburg and West Chester areas.
